Organised:
People with learning disabilities have lots to say.
They know what it is like to live in Tunbridge Wells and to use services.
People with learning disabilities want to be heard and have a strong voice in all things that concerns them.
They have formed a speaking up group to let the District Partnership Group know how they feel and what they want.
This meeting is open to anyone who has a disability in the Tunbridge Wells district.
People with learning disabilities want to be listened to and things to change that help them lead happy and healthy lives.
We are into our monhtly meetings (latest minutes and next advert).
The group is chair by Helen Kevan (who uses a wheelchair and has a learning disability). THere is a small group from within the group who help Helen.
We meet monthly, on the 3rd Wednesday of every month in the evening at 7pm. And we always have lots of cake and biscuits to eat!
