In March 2001 the Government released the white paper 'Valuing People' (click here for the long version). This was aimed at everybody with a learning disabiliy.
Then in January 2009 the Government released another white paper 'Valuing People Now' (click here for the easy read version or here for the long version) which took over from 'Valuing People' and juut concentrated on adults (over 18s) with a learning disability.
For more information on Valuing People Now, we have a whole section on it here.
Out of these two white papers came the National Partnership Board and then County Partnership Boards, which we are part of the Kent branch.
We grew out of the Kent Parntership Board to carry out 'Valuing People Now' in a borough wide, local setting. We were created for inclusivity and community growth.
For information about what we are doing now either see our current projects or see what TWDPG is all about today.
