Tunbridge Wells District Partnership Group (TWDPG)
We are group of like-minded professionals, carers and people who are interested in learning disabilities.
We have come together to enable people with a learning disability to:
- Have a voice
- Be informed
- Share their views
- Enable them to assist in changing local and national policies regarding all aspects of people with a learning disability
Some members go to meeting to:
- help influence changes within our district
- feedback information to TWDPG

Valuing People Now
We follow and promote the Valuing People Now and support organisations, agencies and local councils to help this become a reality today.

Bi-Monthly Meetings
We have meetings bi monthly (see the calendar for more details) for people with a learning disability, family members, carers and professionals.
Anyone and everyone that has an interest in learning disability can attend – the more the merrier.

Governance Group
There is a Governance Group which consists of members with a learning disability and professionals.
This group:
- Discusses projects.
- Makes decisions on behalf of the Partnership Group.
- Takes the information to the District Partnership Group Meetings.

Kent Partnership Board
KPB is is responsible for making sure that the changes and improvements recommended in the Government White Paper Valuing People (March 2001) and Valuing People Now (January 2009) are happening in Kent.
We feedback to them:
- Information we have found
- Projects that we have going on
to the Partnership Board at bi monthly meetings.
There are 12 District Partnership Groups that feed into the Partnership Board.
We also gain info from the Board on:
- Latest policies
- Latest procedures
- Latest projects
that are being done by different services, organisations, councils and Government.
