Monday 10th January 2011 - The start of a new year and we are back in the office getting ready for an exciting new year.

We are also doing a disability taster session with Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre this Sunday - do come along!

Tuesday 26th October 2010 - Sports Centre are having a Holiday Fun session for those with learning disabilities and their families. Trampoline,bouncy castle,soft play,badminton,short tennis, table tennis and a swim is include.

Swimwear and socks are required.

Date: Thursday 28th October from 1-3pm & is open to all ages!

Cost is £3.90 with £1.90 per sibling.

Thursday 7th October 2010 - TWDPG has been awarded just shy of £500 from the Co-Op for various things to help us better work with and support people with disabilities in the Tunbridge Wells borough!

Thursday 23rd September 2010 - We are running a course called 'Passport to the Library' which is an introduction for people with learning disabilities, or any disability, to Kent libraries. A really good project, please see the advert.

Friday 3rd September 2010 - Following on the great success we had with the MELA festival: want to do some Mystery Shopping?

We are also having another Speaking Up Group meeting on Tuesday 14th September, 6:30pm at St John's Church. (summary minutes of the previous meeting)

Wednesday 1st September 2010 - Back into the office now after all our summer hols! And we also have a short account on the Mela festival by a DPG who helped out there.

We are taking part in a survey using diaries for people with learning disabilities to find out what they think about the health services in Kent. Do you know someone who would like to take part or do you want to take part yourself? This letter explains a little more and contact us so we can post you a diary.

Tuesday 20th July 2010 - Get Friday 13th in to your diary. Its from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Its at TN2 community centre on Greggswood Road. Post code TN2 3LZ. Its our DPG meeting. Have your say, hear all the news, have a go at speed meeting (a bit like speed dating but just meeting new people). There will be a buffet. Come and see the new sensory and wheelchair access garden at TN2.

Friday 9th July 2010 - Flyer and invite letter for the restarting of the exciting new Speaking Up Group in Tunbridge Wells. A joint venture between TWDPG, Advocacy Partners, VAWK and KASS Day Services at The Pagoda Centre. Tuesday 24th November 2009 - WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN THE PIPELINE.. creative plumbing at Horizon Project TN2 -  information leaflet

Friday 25th September 2009 - an excellent opportunity for people with learning disabilities to learn new skills and do some creative plumbing! It is all FREE and the YMCA Horizon Project (based at TN2 Community Centre, TN2 3LZ) has 10 spaces. The course will run for 5 Mondays starting 2nd November 2009, 10am until 3pm. All you need to bring is yourself, a packed lunch and wear old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Call Sarah Hardcastle on 01892 544288 to enrol.
